New Author Looking For A Book Deal With A Major Publishing House?

Robert Ringer recently wrote in his great newsletter about change and I quote;  “No one could possibly rival Waldenbooks… until Barnes & Noble came along. No One could possibly rival Barnes & Nobles until Amazon came along”

I will blog another day about changes in the Book distribution and retail outlets - Book Stores, for today’s blog I want  to share with you the great changes taking place in the world of publishing and how you the budding or wannabe Author becomes the Winner - so forget about writing to major publishing Houses for a Book Deal,….well until you have done two things;

(1) Build your Author Platform
(2) Get A Book Coach or Mentor

Happy Mother’s Day Oprah, Louise Hay and Eleesha

 

Today and everyday of this year we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the women of mother earth.

Especially to these Inspirational Women - Oprah Winfrey - Mother of Inspiration for conducting the Mother of All Webinars or Webcasts with Best-selling Author Eckhart Tolle in the World’s first interactive classroom. Also for all those young students at the Oprah School of Excellence today is a special day for their mom Oprah - we are truly blessed for your gifts to humanity.

To really appreciate the essence of Mother’s day, you have to journey back to almost a century ago, when two great inspirational women; Emma Curtis Hopkins (1853-1925) known as the teacher of teachers and one of her students Emilie Cady (1848-1941) author of “Lessons in Truth” set out to share with the World, a new vision.

Fast forward to the late 20th & early 21st centuries and you find Louise Hay - Mother of Affirmations and the founder of Hay House who is the best-selling author and inspiration for You Can Heal Your Life Movie. Some say Louise Hay got her Inspiration from reading Emilie Cady’s “Lessons In Truth”. What an Inspiration that was, as the world has benefited over the years from the great works of Hay House’s Best Selling Authors like Dr Wayne Dyer and Marianne Williamson.

Best Selling Author Louise Hay and How She Built A Publishing Empire With Hay House

The Universe always has a way of reaching out, call it the Law of Attraction or perfect timing, because just a day after I wrote my first blog titled “Friends of Eleesha blog inspired by Louise Hay and Rhonda Byrne” I came across a remarkable piece in the New York Times Magazine, written by Mark Oppenheimer titled The Queen of the New Age, that had me excited for the rest of the weekend.                                 

In a nut shell the writer Mark Oppenheimer, cuts to the chase in his opening statement with; “LOUISE HAY IS ONE OF THE BEST-SELLING AUTHORS IN HISTORY, and none of the women who have sold more — like J. K. Rowling, Danielle Steel and Barbara Cartland — owned a publishing empire”

 Mark Oppenheimer is right about that. He cited several stories that validated Louise Hay’s status of  Queen of The New Age, I prefer to call her The Mother Of Affirmations.  Mark concludes that it was Louise Hay’s compassion and relentless mission to offer HOPE to those facing the challenges of Aids, that gave birth to her Publishing Empire - Hay House. Which has since grown to become a Power House in the Publishing World. I now get it, why the budding Inspirational Affirmations Author - Eleesha, sees Louise Hay as one of her top 7 Inspirational Women.
